Amsterdam:
- Amstel actually has less body and flavor than Amstel Light
- Heineken is much better in Europe
- The Heineken brewery tour in Amsterdam is amazing! It has rides!
Brussels:
- Gueuze (unflavored aged lambic) is disgusting
- Faro (Sugar and Carmel flavored lambic) is amazing, but you can't get it here because it has to be consumed within 4 weeks of adding the sugar and carmal
- Apricot lambic is simply sublime
I also brought back a couple of unaged bottles and glasses (one of which I promptly broke), so I'll have an idea about white grape lambic in a few months...though I am sorely tempted to drink the bottle now and use the dregs to start a true lambic starter...
